Workers in Ireland have some of the weakest trade union rights in Europe.

They have no legal right to union-negotiated pay and conditions or even to access their union in the workplace. Too often, employers deny workers the right to unionise.

But together, we can change that.

Before the election, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism, and Employment, Peter Burke, pledged to support legislation that:

  • Promotes collective bargaining
  • Protects workplace representatives
  • Ensures the right to access a union at work

This autumn, Minister Burke will publish an Action Plan outlining how he intends to keep his promise!

We need your support to ensure this plan helps people who want to unionise their workplace and isn’t watered down to keep big business onside.

The more signatures we have, the harder it is for the Government to ignore us.

You can help by sharing our petition with colleagues, friends, and family.

It’s time for Minister Burke and the government to live up to their commitments.
